Stress Free Holiday Shopping

The busiest shopping season of the year is here and getting through the stores is officially a nightmare. But even still, my brave soul decided to kick off the holiday season on Thanksgiving when I had to go to the store to pick up a gift for a newborn baby in the family. So where in the world can I shop on Thanksgiving for baby clothes?

I went to the only place that’s open 364 days a year–Meijer.

I was amazed at the amount of people who were there to shop for Christmas. Meijer had so many bargains, how could I resist? I got sucked into the holiday spirit and did some major Christmas shopping. But the best part of shopping was the experience. There wasn’t any of the typical crowded chaos because Meijer had recently remodeled its store. Their newly-widened isles and brand new shopping carts made it easy to make a mad dash to the next deal. Everything was easy to find and if it couldn’t, Meijer has strategically-placed information booths in every department that include a price checker and a customer service phone to help you along the way. I used that phone twice and both times a customer service representative came to assist me within seconds. No joke! I was dreading the checkout line, but Meijer actually had enough staff to run every checkout lane. What a concept! Was it my lucky day? Nope–just a terrific job on Meijer’s part for figuring out how to make the customer experience better. I have never really been a Meijer shopper, but this experience changed that. For me, it’s all in the details and Meijer gets two thumbs up for getting the job done this holiday season!

  1. Speaking about shopping, I worked in retail for over 10 years and witnessed the stress that consumers go through. That’s why its important to complete your christmas shopping early. Black friday is the most stressful day of all. Is it really worth it. I came across a website which offers Home & Garden products to the public at wholesale prices. There is no minumum to buy and shipping is only $7.50 regardless of how much you buy. Did all my Christmas shopping for under $300.00. You must see. Go to bayonacity.com
