The Word of Mouth Marketing Association picked Quicken Loans as a winner of a 2007 WOMMIE award (four awards were given from a field of over 50 entries). We were up against some pretty heavy hitters, so it’s a great feeling to be recognized for our word of mouth efforts.
We won a WOMMIE for our Yahoo! Answers Knowledge Partner profile, the Quicken Loans Home Loan Guru, which I’ve been very involved with since we launched it in April. I’m a huge fan of Yahoo! Answers and I can’t tell you how happy I am that our campaign to provide good information on Answers has been recognized as an industry-leading word of mouth marketing project.
If you haven’t checked out Answers, I recommend it. It’s informative, interesting, and most of all, a lot of fun. You can find just about anything from the more than 20 million users.
I want to thank the Word of Mouth Marketing Assocation for recognizing our efforts and Yahoo for developing one of the best sites on the web.
We are honored and consider word of mouth marketing a huge opportunity for future business growth.

Congratulations!!

Posted by: E. McLean | November 4, 2007Is this like the Source awards for your industry? A lot of posturing, some smack talk and the possibility that maybe the CEO of Cranium and Dell Computer might shoot it out during the presentation awards. Another reason corporate America dosent accomplish anything.

Thats really cool. Good job to you and all your hard work.
Congrats for the award. We don’t have brands participating on FunAdvice like Yahoo Answers does, but given the award & buzz around doing so on Yahoo Answers, maybe more sites in the Q&A space should consider doing so?
