Quicken Loans gets a WOMMA case study for Quizzle

Quizzle selected as a WOMMA case study!Last week WOMMA (the Word of Mouth Marketing Association) accepted a case study on our launch and promotion of Quizzle as an example of word of mouth excellence. Speaking of Quizzle, anyone who hasn’t checked it out, please do so and let us know what you think!

The WOMMA case study is a great honor and anyone interested in what the top companies are doing in word of mouth should browse the WOMMA case study library.

Here’s what WOMMA has to say about its case study library:

WOMMA’s Case Study Library is a "how-to" resource intended to help you gain a better understanding of the different types of word of mouth marketing that exist, as well as how to put them to work for you. We’re showcasing the best work from the best marketers, giving the people who create noteworthy word of mouth campaigns the recognition they deserve and providing an educational tool for those who want to learn a little more about this thing called "WOM."

Every year, WOMMA picks the four top case studies submitted and awards them a WOMMIE. Last year Quicken Loans was extremely happy to win a WOMMIE for our Yahoo! Answers Knowledge Partner case study.

We really like our Quizzle case study, as it’s our favorite word of mouth project at Quicken Loans to date. The case study is only 300 words, so it’s a short read, but to paraphrase it, we simply present how we successfully launched and created buzz for Quizzle using nothing but word of mouth – created mostly through blogs and PR.

If you aren’t familiar with WOMMA, please check out their site and find out what they are all about. WOMMA is the official trade organization for word of mouth marketers and we are pleased to be members. In November, WOMMA is hosting its 2008 Word of Mouth Marketing Summit and Symposium and it’s sure to be a great and informative event.

If you’re on the fence about the effectiveness of word of mouth marketing and you aren’t sure if your company should consider WOM a viable business practice, do yourself a favor and attend the summit. You’ll be amazed at what you learn!

So everyone, keep your fingers crossed that Quizzle is a top contender for a 2008 WOMMIE. Based on the incredible case studies I’ve seen that were submitted this year, it’s a long shot. Just having Quizzle accepted as a case study is awesome.

But man, being a two-time WOMMIE winner would be sweet!

    But the true congratulations on Quizzle WOM efforts belong to Ann-Marie, Todd and the Quicken Loans PR team. I did a little, but by far the success is due to those guys and the awesome work they did to lauch Quizzle and get the buzz train rolling.
