Detroit Free Press: America's Thanksgiving Parade Student Design Winners Announced
Who doesn't love a good parade? America's Thanksgiving Parade is one of the best.
You may recall us paying a visit to the Parade Company earlier this year. We had a great time, but since it wasn't November yet, most of the floats were out of commission.
Well yesterday, the Detroit Free Press wrote about the student winners in the float design contest. Two girls, Emirene Munoz and Julisa Madrigal submitted pictures of their idea of the perfect float and won.
The field was large, and included a field of 300 submissions. The
two winning designs are transformed from paper to 3-d and are included
in the march down Woodward. We're including their submissions here,
compliments of the Free Press.
Tomorrow, members of the Quicken Loans marketing team will be making a trip to The Parade Company to help prepare all the floats for the parade. Who knows, we might be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of one of the winning floats! We'll take lots of pictures and post them to the DIFF next week.
So congratulations to Emirene and Julisa. In a few weeks they'll be able to see their work come to life and admired by the entire city of Detroit.

I saw the winning float and it looks great. Can't wait to see the parade in action!
