Dom Deluise, one of the funniest guys I've ever seen in movies, died yesterday from complications from cancer. It's a shame. He was one of the good ones.
Deluise was a favorite of director Mel Brooks, actor Burt Reynolds and even Rat Packer Dean Martin. All three worked extensively with him for years and used him in numerous movies and TV shows.
Deluise was also a professional singer, author and chef. In other words, he was talented.
And he will be very missed.
I think I'll go rent one of those old Mel Brooks movies that starred Deluise. They are still funny, 30 years later.
