Quicken Loans’ Data Warehouse Team Wins Industry Award

Quicken Loans' Data Warehouse Team Wins Industry AwardBy Nikki Stellini

Quicken Loans is proud to announce that its Data Warehouse team is the co-winner of a Best Practices Award in Operational Business Intelligence from The Data Warehousing Institute (TDWI), a leading association in the industry. The award recognizes the team’s excellence in creating and maintaining software that reports, gathers, secures, and analyzes up-to-the-minute data, keeping our business running efficiently and fostering growth each year.

The Quicken Loans Data Warehouse team is a group of dedicated engineers and database administrators who write the software programs that tie all of the company’s important data together in one location.
“The team is really excited and proud to win this award,” said Steve Brennan, Quicken Loans Data Warehouse team leader. “We use business intelligence to stay on top of our game. It’s an honor to be recognized for our hard work in the industry.”

Problem solving is inherent to the culture of Quicken Loans, and building homegrown and successful software solutions saves money and facilitates decisions regarding fluctuations in loan rates or market shifts which impact the business each day.

Quicken Loans has dozens of systems that provide data throughout the loan process, including total loans closed each month and the number of clients who interact with bankers on a daily basis. This information allows the Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence teams to measure productivity, evaluate the impact of marketing campaigns and unleash solutions in an efficient manner.

From the time a client visits the Quicken Loans Web site until they close their loan, the data collected provides the company with an advantage in the mortgage industry by offering a comprehensive picture of workflow and performance.

This prestigious award includes an invitation to the TDWI World Conference in San Diego, California August 15-20 and publication of the team’s project in TDWI’s What Works Magazine and the Business Intelligence Journal.

Congratulations on a job well done and thanks for all that you do!
