Today is Election Day. Vote!

Oh wait, it's 8:06 pm. The polls are closed in the eastern time zone.

But they are still open in the other three times zones in the US (I think).

Vote people. Vote!

Tomorrow is Election Day – Vote!

                 USam_VoteL
If you’re anything like me, you’re probably at your wit’s end with being bombarded by political ads every time you turn on the TV. And, if you’re not like me and were oblivious to the fact they have been running nonstop for the past few days, you must live under a rock.

The good news is that after tomorrow, you’ll get to enjoy your favorite TV shows again, minus the noise.

Why?

Because, tomorrow is November 2, which is Election Day! This year is the 2010 US mid-term elections.

If you haven’t been paying attention, don’t worry. We’re not voting for the President yet, but it’s still very important.

Mid-terms are every two years, when all 435 members of the House of Representatives stand for re-election.  Up for grabs this year are 37 out of 100 seats in the Senate and 37 Governorships. You can go to your Secretary of State website to find all the voting information you need.

If you’re a registered voter, get out and vote tomorrow! If you’re not, all you have to do is print out a voter registration application online, fill it out and mail it in. Then, you’ll be able to make a difference in the next election.  Remember to educate yourself about the candidates and issues before you make your way to the polls!

I’ll be sporting my “I Voted” sticker proudly tomorrow. Will you?

Election Day: vote for your favorite “I Voted” Sticker & watch “Vote However You Like”

Everyone knows that the best part of voting is the "I voted!" sticker you get afterward. We took up a collection around the office at Quicken Loans of everyone’s stickers. Now we want you to weigh in. Which "I Voted" sticker reigns supreme?

Take our poll here.

After you vote for a sticker, as an added bonus, check out these smarty-pants kids from the Ron Clark Academy in Atlanta as they parody rapper T.I with "Vote However You Like!":

Election Day freebies: Starbucks coffee, Krispy Kreme donut and Ben & Jerry’s ice cream

Election Day 2008 Freebies - Free coffee from Starbucks, donut from Krispy Kreme and ice cream from Ben & Jerry's! From Quicken Loans DIFF blog

So, no need worry about cooking tomorrow – if you vote, you can just fill up on all the lovely free goodies from some of the yummiest places in the land of the free.

Starbucks, Krispy Kreme and Ben & Jerry’s are giving away their signature products tomorrow if you vote. Free tall (12oz) regular coffee from Starbucks, free star-shaped donut with patriotic sprinkles from Krispy Kreme and free scoop of ice cream from Ben & Jerry’s. Am I missing anything else?

While Quicken Loans definitely recommends you get out and vote, consuming all the freebies could very well give you quite the tummy ache. But if you can handle it, well, I might just say it’s your patriotic duty to chow down tomorrow. As Ben & Jerry’s says, "democracy never tasted so sweet."
