Ok. I can ride a unicycle.
But not like this. I won’t waste your time with my silly words.
Just watch.
Wow.

Is this old lady on a cell phone in a 1928 scence from Charlie Chaplin's The Circus? It almost does look like a man in drag on a cell phone. Is he saying "can you hear me now?"
Technolog wrote about this today and I had to share. You can check out the video below also. What do you think? Crazy old lady talking to herself? Here's a little from Technolog:
Is a woman in a 1928 film who appears to have a cell phone glued to her ear in fact a time traveler? That's what some conspiracy theorists think this eerie scene (video below) from Charlie Chaplin's 1928 film, "The Circus" is telegraphing, or rather phoning, and that the woman — who looks about as time-traveler-ish as Martha Stewart, is indeed a voyager from the vortex of time and space.
Belfast filmmaker George Clarke, a Chaplin fan, says he was watching the "behind the scenes of 'The Circus' " and was "stumped" at what he saw.
Watch the video and figure it out for yourself…
The intriguing sport of Parkour (also known as "free walking") has crossed over into the canine world!
Parkour is a sport and philosophy built on the motto: "be strong to be useful." Practitioners of Parkour perform spider-man like feats, skittering up walls and leaping across rooftops, usually in urban environments – sort of like skateboarding without a skateboard. From it's infancy as a method of physical education devised by Geroges Hébert in the 19th century, the skill was further cultivated by the French military as a training method. Parkour has at it's core the purpose of helping others, non rivalry, and "reclaiming humanity."
It's fascinating to watch Parkour enthusiasts in action, as millions of youtube hits on parkour and free walking videos can attest. And even more captivating to watch this dog - Tret from Ukraine – navigate impressive obstacles.
Anyone who knows me well, knows I am an advocate for the misunderstood pitbull. I have a loving and sweet pitbull mix, and every pitbull I have ever known has been a fantastic family dog. So naturally I am especially pleased that this talented pooch is of this intelligent and highly trainable breed.
Check out Tret's mad skillz:
Through the course of my Wednesday morning blog reading at breakfast, I came across a link to a site named Aidan's Monsters. The brief description said that Aidan has leukemia and is drawing pictures to help raise money for medical bills.
Well, of course me being the giant, weepy ball of sap that I am I clicked right over to that site intending to buy up all of the artwork I could find. Nevermind the fact I have a 4-year-old budding artist at home! Buying some art to help a family is the least I can do – and I love how kids view the world through their giant hearts and imaginations.
Love this video! And I love how this woman uses video/social media to show the world her prize and help promote the contest (and her own site) at the same time.
The world is changing. And I’m loving every minute of it.
Oh yeah, play the Thanks a Million Sweepstakes or “say goodbye to your mortgage” with the Thanks a Million Giveaway.
If there's one thing that I love in this world, it's potatoes. I love my husband, I love my dogs, I love wearing comfortable shoes – but above all this, I REALLY REALLY LOVE POTATOES. So when I saw this:
I think my heart literally stopped for a moment.
Love this commercial. It’s definitely a departure from our normal advertising.
We’re paying off a client’s mortgage early with our Thanks a Million Giveaway and we want you to know about it. So we created this fun ad, showing some “creative” ways a client could get rid of their mortgage.
Of course, the best way to get rid of your mortgage is to have us pay it off! That could happen if you close a loan with us by December 31, 2010. We’re also giving away two $5,000 gift cards as part of our celebration of our upcoming one millionth closed loan.
Hope you enjoy the ad as much as we do!

As the only mother on the creative team here at Quicken Loans, I often have to turn down a lot of outings and fun Detroit nights out that a lot of my coworkers have. But I’m determined not to let the experience of enjoying Detroit go by the wayside just because I have a kid.
Fortunately, the Compuware building is amazing enough to have a childcare/school facility in the building so I’m able to bring my son, Jude, to work with me, and as a result, expose him as much as I can to this awesome, awesome city.
I’ve been keeping a list of things I want to show him and experience with him in the city and thought I’d share my list with the readers of this blog (in the off chance someone out there might be a parent looking for fun things to do with their kids in the city).
